Dangerous Side Effects from Common Paracetamol Tablets!

paracetamol side effectsDid you know every paracetamol tablet you take will reside in your body for 5 years or that they can gradually poison your kidney?

Here is an email forward I got last week with some advice our doctors don't give us. It describes some serious dangers and long term side effects we get from the common paracetamol tablets. (Note: I'm not sure whether Blogspot allows to directly attack a brand in its blogs. So I have removed the references it had to a well known international paracetamol brand name. But I reckon you can guess it!)

(Thanks to the lady who shared this useful info.)
My husband was working in a hospital as an IT engineer, as the hospital is planning to set up a database of its patient. And he knows some of the doctor quite well. The doctors used to tell him that whenever they have a headache, they are not willing to take P****** PARACETAMOL.

In fact, they will turn Herbal Medicine or find other alternatives. This is because P****** paracetamol is toxic to the body, and it harms the liver.According to the doctor, P****** paracetamol will reside in the body for at least 5 years. And according to the doctor, there used to be an incident where an air stewardess consumes a lot of P****** paracetamol during her menstrual as she needs to stand all the time. She's now in her early 30's, and she needs to wash her kidney (DIALYSIS) every month.

As said by the doctor that whenever we have a headache, that's because it is due to the electron / Ion imbalance in the brain. As an alternative solution to cope with this matter, they suggested that we buy 1 or 2 cans of isotonic drink (e.g.100PLUS), and mix it with drinking water according to a ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 (simply, it means one cup 100plus, one cup water or 2 cups water). My husband and I have tried this on several occasions, and it seems to work well.

Another method will be to submerge your feet in a basin of warm water so that it brings the blood pressure down from your throbbing head.

As P****** paracetamol is a pain killer, the more P****** paracetamol you take, the lesser would be your threshold for pain (your endurance level for pain). We all will fall ill as we aged, for woman, we would need to go through childbirth. Imagine that we had spent our entire life popping quite a substantial amount of P****** paracetamol (Pain Killer) when you need to have a surgery or operation, you will need a much more amount of general. If you have a very high intake of P****** paracetamol throughout your life (Migraine, Menstrual cramps ) it is very likely that normal general anesthetic will have no effects on you as your body is Pumped full with P****** paracetamol and your body is so used to pain killer that you would need a much stronger pain killer, Morphine????

The thought is scary enough to turn me to Herbal Medicine or other healthier alternative. Value your health, value your life, THINK TWICE before you easily pop that familiar pill into your mouth again.

Please don't always take P****** paracetamol and try send this to people you care about.
I think paracetamol has had it's toll on me too. When I was a teen taking one paracetamol tablet was enough to stop a cold or a bad headache but now I need two!

Actually for most occasions we take paracetamol, we don't really need to. For example like the headaches you get sometimes after a long journey or traffic jam in a hot day etc. I've noticed they just go away if I can forget them.

You really need to research stuff like this before posting:

I agree with N.

However Paracetamol is harmful, if taken in too large a dose. The recommended dose is 2 every 8 hours or so, nothing more.

It puts a lot of pressure on the liver, which means you must never mix it with alcohol. Indeed, most drugs should not be mixed with alcohol.

The rule with all medicines is take only recommended doses and take only when ansolutely necessary and never mix with alcohol (dont pop a couple of pills and to get rid of a headache before heading offto a party where you will drink alcohol).

N,
So thats where this chain email originated! Thanks for the link.

On researching - Ideally I should have done some research. But then I may not have ever got time to research it or come around to posting it. As I already new paracetamol was harmful, I wanted to share this email fwd with you and everyone else through Planet Apex.

Then again yeah, since it's medical I think we have to pay special attention when posting about medical stuff.

Is this true with all paracetamol tablets????

Yes, over dose of any paracetamol brand is harmful. Any please be careful to check what you are posting before actually doing it. Paracetamol or any medicine should only be taken when prescribed by a doctor. The doctor is supposed to decide whether it is necessary or not, not some mythical story that this causes this and that causes that.

Hi Anonymous,
This is a warning story those people who take paracetamol just out of habit for every real or assumed illness and fill their bodies. But thank you nevertheless, next time i want to post maybe i'll check up with the local health authorities :D

I'm not sure. It seems like the chain email is trying to promote Chinese Herbal Medicine.

I'd say just stick to the minimum dosage - try to bear the pain if its just a bearable minor ache.

That's a very good piece of advice. We are so often filling our bodies with unnecessary tablets and medicines that can be avoided if be bear up a little more.

How do you say this email forward is trying to promote Chinese Herbal medicine?

I am 50% agree with this email massage. PARACETAMOL, no doubt has very quickly react against the problem for it has been used but has a lasting side effects. not only PARACETAMOL many other modern prescribed medicines has the same. But on the other hand there is no bid authorized orgs which conduct search on natural medicine or other alternative of modern medicine. According to my know for skin and hair problems the there is more risk of diverse effects due to modern medicine and stats show for such disease natural treatment is best for example Focal Vitiligo and Baldness etc

I saw a top specialist who advised me to take 8 paracetamol per day to help control chronic pain. One year later I was feeling unwell and my doctor tested my blood, my liver was not functioning properly and he asked if I had been using alcohol for my pain, I am a tee totaller as I dont even like alcohol but my doctor took some convincing. He then asked me how much paracetamol I was taking per day and was rather shocked, he advised me to cut down immediately and he will test again in 6 weeks. He said that paracetamol damages liver and kidneys if used either in large quantities or over a long time.

I would only get the 450 anytime minutes plan which I'm guessing is the cheapest plan, if there is something cheaper let me know. I would want 1,500 text messages and obviously the unlimited data it comes with. Ive been searching but different sources tell me different things, some say $75 some say up to $95 a month. Does anyone ahve a plan similar to this for the iphone 3g that can help and say what their monthly bill looks like?
